Hyundai has only just recently begun to become a household name in the auto industry. The Sonata and Elantra are prominently recognized by many an observer, while the 2016 Hyundai Equus luxury sedan and Genesis are slowly gaining traction in our minds. The Sante Fe has been around since the 90s, so it is fairly recognizable.
But the Azera?
I recently rode in a new 2015 Hyundai Azera that my out of town friends had rented for the weekend. I was impressed by the large trunk, leather seats and sleek design.
A brief history of the Hyundai Azera, courtesy of RoadTest.com:
“The Hyundai Grandeur is a mid-size luxury car (initially full-size car) produced by the South Korean manufacturer Hyundai since 1986. The Grandeur has evolved through five generations with intermediate re-stylings, and is marketed under various nameplates worldwide — prominently as the Hyundai Azera. As the Azera, it was considered the flagship model of Hyundai’s United States lineup until the arrival of the Genesis sedan. Currently the Azera slots between the midsize Sonata and the Genesis sedan.”
Its sporty looking, like the Elantra, but with the roomy interior of the Sonata.
At 6’3”, I had no problem fitting into the back seat, and my friend driving didn’t even have to be uncomfortably close to the wheel.
Though the 2015 Hyundai Azera price is just under $40,000, it is indeed a luxury sedan. With 28 MPG highway, it provides with the right mix of posh and fuel economy.
And the best thing about the 2015 Hyundai Azera features? It’s available in six different colors at the premier Hyundai dealership in Nicholasville. Glenn Hyundai of Nicholasville is now offering 2015 Azera lease specials that start at $299 per month for 36 months, which already gives you plenty of reasons to at least test drive a Hyundai Azera. This is with a mere $1,999 due at signing, not to mention Hyundai seasonal coupons for up to $2,000 in additional savings. It’s time to step out of the box and into the Azera!
